Our Story
The Hatch story started when good friends Adam Jacobs (Ex THE ICONIC Founder) and Chaz Heitner (Ex Zip Co-founder) came together to build something they were deeply passionate about.
Both founders believe that traditional hiring processes are broken and limit people from finding work that’s a good fit for them. Since founding the company, Adam and Chaz have built a team that shares their mission and are both confident they will continue to build an impactful global company for many years to come.

We believe in hiring the best people, not just the best people in a few postcodes. There’s Blackbirds all over ANZ - from Perth to Ponsonby!
We have offices in Sydney, Melbourne and Auckland shared with our friends at Startmate, and a host of rituals - like bi-weekly Town Hall meetings and quarterly team or company offsites to keep our flock together. Many of our Blackbirds are parents, work remotely, part-time or flexible hours, so expect a whole lot of trust, autonomy, and not a single corner office in sight.
