Life at Hatch
The NRMA Group today is made up of businesses that are as unique and different as the people who work in them. But there are things that link us together – a common thread that runs through us all and makes us uniquely us – behaviours and mindsets we demonstrate, as we work with each other, our Members, customers and communities. This is our culture Playbook. Visit Life at the NRMA to learn more about our culture, playbook, our people and benefits.
Awarded gold in the Australian Workplace Equality Index (AWEI) 2024 LGBTQ+ Inclusion Awards.
We’re all unique and we’re all different. It’s these differences that make us stronger as a group. We foster a culture that respects and celebrates diversity in all its forms, to create an environment where all people can feel they truly belong. From our very foundation, we’ve existed to make the lives of everyone in our communities better. We provide flexibility to help our people meet the challenges of juggling work and personal commitments.
Our Story
The Hatch story started when good friends Adam Jacobs (Ex THE ICONIC Founder) and Chaz Heitner (Ex Zip Co-founder) came together to build something they were deeply passionate about.
Both founders believe that traditional hiring processes are broken and limit people from finding work that’s a good fit for them. Since founding the company, Adam and Chaz have built a team that shares their mission and are both confident they will continue to build an impactful global company for many years to come.

Inclusion and Diversity
Belong @mynrma is our commitment to building a diverse and inclusive culture where all of our people, customers, Members and communities feel they truly belong.
Working at the NRMA Group means we put people first. We know that delivering a great experience for our customers and Members starts on the inside. And when we look inside, we want to see a culture that is richly diverse, where everyone is included and valued for their uniqueness, and where everyone has the opportunity to reach their full potential.
"The NRMA has a proud history in supporting and advocating for gender equality - from the establishment of the Women's Auxiliary Network during WWII, training 700 females as mechanics and heavy vehicle drivers to support the war efforts, to today where females represent 56% of our board composition and 44% of leadership roles. I am committed to continuing our focus on gender equality and ensuring the NRMA is a place where all our people are given equal opportunity to achieve their goals and make meaningful contributions."
